About UsAbout Us

We design and manufacture our products specialising in soft and hard woods using careful craftsmanship, taking into account the clients requirements.

This results in products that are not only attractive and well made but truly fit for purpose - without compromise.

Our free measuring service for staircases enables you to build the correct size aperture at the beginning of the job making sure the staircase will fit and comply with building regulations.

We believe that our joinery offers the best value for money available once you have taken into account the high standards of quality. We specialise in reproducing the style of architectural joinery used in bygone years, so replacing defective windows, doors, interior fitments, etc., will not spoil the character of an older building. We can normally manufacture these items within fourteen days of a customer placed order.

BWF

The British Woodworking Federation is the trade association for the woodworking and joinery manufacturing industry in the UK. It has over 500 members drawn from manufacturers, distributors and installers of timber doors, windows, conservatories, staircases, all forms of architectural joinery including shopfitting, timber frame buildings and engineered timber components, as well as suppliers to the industry.

BWFAll our members have signed up to a rigorous set of standards of workmanship, company stewardship and environmental disciplines. Each member company is visited as part of the vetting procedure and is either confirmed compliant or awarded an intermediate endorsement demonstrating they are working towards full compliance.

The Code of Conduct includes an 8 point assessment:

FENSA

FENSAFENSA has been set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and other industry bodies with the support of the Government. In April 2002, replacement windows and doors in your home became subject to the Building Regulations for England and Wales. You can meet your commitments under the Building Regulations by either:

As a FENSA registered business, we understand the Regulations and are able to install a product in your home which meets requirements. We can advise you on the design of windows and doors and see that the installed windows have the correct thermal performance.

If your windows are not registered directly with your Local Authority or by a FENSA registered company then you will also have problems when you sell your home. The purchasers' solicitor will require evidence, via the registration, that the windows and doors conform to the relevant Regulations.

At Wyre Forest Woodcraft we also give you an insurance policy directly from our insurance provider, to cover the window/door guarantee should we cease to trade.

In short, when registering an installation with FENSA, the installer is certifying that the job conforms to appropriate Building Regulations.

Insurance Backed Guarantees provide additional peace of mind and reassurance to householders. An Insurance Backed Guarantee will protect the homeowner should the installer cease to trade and an Insured fault arise on the installation during the policy period, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. It is a FENSA requirement that all installers are registered with an Insurance Backed Guarantee Provider.

GGFi is currently the only Insurance Provider to be approved by The Glass and Glazing Federation and FENSA.
